Rain seeks to break rosy illusions about celebrities via ‘My Love Girl’

Rain said he wanted to shatter the rosy illusions about being a TV celebrity through SBS's new rom-com "My Lovely Girl" by showing behind-the-scenes experiences that celebrities undergo.

With 12 years of acting under his belt, the singer-Hollywood actor asserted that the drama realistically portrays many of the hidden realities, such as the heartbreaking hardships of that the startup celebrities has to undergo, and the gradual deterioration of the relationship between the musician and his boss.

“I think this is the drama that many young celebrity aspirants would find helpful,” he said.

“I have been through such matters with my boss, too -– not that I am personally at odds with (Park) Jin-young,” the Korean heartthrob jovially said, driving the crowd into laughter.

The Wednesday-Thursday drama kicks off on Wednesday at 10 p.m.
