걸그룹 레이디스코드가 교통사고를 당해 멤버 은비(고은비)가 사망했다.
멤버 권리세와 이소정 역시 중태에 빠진 가운데 이들이 타고 있던 차량의 끔찍한 사고 현장이 공개돼 안타까움을 더하고 있다.
3일 레이디스코드 소속사 폴라리스 엔터테인먼트에 따르면 당일 오전 1시 30분께 대구 스케줄 후 레이디스 코드가 탄 차량이 서울로 이동하던 중, 수원 지점에서 뒷바퀴가 빠지면서 차량이 몇 차례 회전을 한 뒤 가드레일을 들이박는 사고가 났다. 이로 인해 멤버 은비가 숨지고, 다른 멤버 리세는 중태이며 소정은 부상을 입어 치료 중이다.
SBS뉴스 등을 통해 공개된 레이디스코드 차량 사고 현장 모습은 그들이 탄 승합차가 심각하게 훼손돼있어 당시 사고의 심각성을 알린다.
이어 레이디스코드 측 관계자는 “경찰조사가 다 미처 이뤄지지 않은 시점에서 당시 현장 관계자를 통해 전해들은 바를 전달해드렸고, 이는 정확한 사고 원인이 아님을 말씀 드린다”며 “정확한 사고 원인에 대해서는 경찰조사가 끝난 뒤 다시 말씀 드리겠으니 이점 양해 부탁 드리며, 그 이상의 추측이나 사실이 아닌 내용이 유포되지 않도록 많은 분들의 이해와 협조 부탁 드린다”고 재차 호소했다.
한편, 故 레이디스코드 은비의 빈소는 아직 정해지지 않았으며, 현재 수술 중인 멤버 리세와 소정을 제외한 다른 멤버들은 서울에 위치한 병원으로 옮겨질 예정이다.

Ladies’ Code member killed in car accident
EunB of Ladies’ Code died Wednesday in a car accident that left two other members of the K-pop girl group in critical condition, police said.
The 22-year-old singer, whose real name is Koh Eun-bi, was injured after the van she was in skidded off the road and crashed into a protective wall at around 1:32 a.m. on a freeway near Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. She was transferred to a nearby hospital but died despite efforts to save her.
According to a police investigation, Koh was not wearing her seatbelt when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The fatal accident also left two other members, Rise and Sojung -- whose real name are Kwon Ri-se and Lee So-jung -- badly injured, while the two other members sustained minor wounds.
According to the group’s agency, Polaris Entertainment, Kwon received a severe head injury and underwent hours of emergency surgery. Her condition was not revealed as of Wednesday afternoon.
The group had been heading back to Seoul after participating in a KBS music show in Daegu at the time of the deadly accident.
The five-member group is best known for the song “Pretty Pretty” from its second EP. Even before the group made its debut in 2013, Ladies’ Code enjoyed a fair share of followers, as two of its members, Rise and Sojung, had participated in popular TV audition programs.
