South Korean boy band 2PM will make a grand return to the K-pop scene in September, the group’s agency JYP Entertainment announced Friday.
The six-member band plans to drop the fourth studio album and EP in Korea and Japan, respectively, more than a year after it released the third studio album “Grown.” The soon-to-be-released albums will include different songs apart from the title track.
The upcoming album is attracting a bigger spotlight than ever as its title song was written by 2PM’s member Jun.K. It would mark the first time for the group to pursue activities with its self-composed tune.
“2PM is getting excited about its comeback in September. The members are passionately wrapping up their work on the album,” its label said in a press release.
In the run-up to the album release, 2PM is scheduled to participate in the joint concert “2014 JYP Nation -- One Mic” to be held from Aug. 9-10 in Seoul.
