EXO’s Tao injured during TV show shooting

July 28, 2014 - 17:31 By 옥현주
It was belatedly revealed Monday that Tao from the K-pop boy band EXO-M was injured during the filming of a TV reality show about two weeks ago.

According to Korean news reports, Tao injured his right foot at a coral reef in the Solomon Islands on July 14 during the filming of the SBS reality show “Law of the Jungle.”

The Chinese member received urgent treatment from a local doctor and stopped over in Singapore for a medical checkup and treatment on the way back to China.

Fortunately, the wound was not severe, SM Entertainment said.

The cast on the survival show, including Tao, B2ST’s Lee Gi-kwang and g.o.d’s Kim Tae-woo, departed for the exotic destination for the shooting on July 14 and returned to Korea on July 22.

Despite the injury, Tao performed onstage as part of the concert “EXO from EXO Planet #1,” held last Sunday in China.

But he will not take part in the upcoming commercial that his group EXO-M is scheduled to shoot in China on Monday. Tao will make his way to Korea to undergo extra treatment.

“Law of the Jungle” features Korean celebrities traveling to primitive places and living in jungles. The episode starring the idol is slated to air in August.
