울산에서 끔찍한 살인사건이 발생했다.

27일 오전 6시쯤 술에 취한 A(23)씨가 울산시 남구 삼산동의 한 대형쇼핑몰 앞 버스정류장에서 버스를 기다리던 B(18·여)씨를 흉기로 수차례 찔러 살해했다.

경찰에 따르면 A씨는 별거 중인 아버지와 전날 밤 술을 마신 뒤 집에 들어가 흉기를 들고 나와 안면식도 없는 B씨를 찔렀다. 무직 상태였던 A씨는 부모와 별거 중이었으며, 그동안 쌓인 스트레스로 자신도 모르게 우발적으로 범행을 벌인 것으로 보인다. 범행 직후 A씨는 자해 소동을 벌이기도 했으나, 생명에는 지장이 없는 상태다.

A씨는 스스로 목숨을 끊으려고 흉기를 들고 나왔다고 진술한 것으로 알려졌다.

Female college student killed in random murder

 A female college student was stabbed to death in this southern city of Ulsan on Sunday after a drunken man randomly attacked her in the street, police said, Yonhap News reported.

 The 23-year-old man, surnamed Jang, is being interrogated after attacking the 18-year-old student at a bus stop near a shopping mall in Ulsan, 414 kilometers south of Seoul, on Sunday evening, the Ulsan Nambu Police Station said.

Police said Jang ran away after stabbing the woman several times, but was caught by a passerby, who held him until officers arrived, the report said.

The victim was rushed to a hospital but was soon pronounced dead, according to the report. 

Police said the victim did not know Jang and was returning home when she was attacked. 

"Jang is currently jobless and seemed to be under mental stress due to his parents' separation," Yonhap quoted a police officer as saying. "He appears to have killed the random victim impulsively."  (From news report)
