The popular SBS-TV reality show “Roommate” is set to film the next episode as scheduled despite the uproar over 2NE1 member Park Bom’s alleged drug scandal. But whether the idol will make an appearance remains unclear.

Park, a regular cast member on the show, recently came under fire after a Korean daily belatedly revealed Monday that she had attempted to bring illegal drugs into Korea four years ago, but did not face charges.

“The drug-related case wasn’t confirmed illegal, so there is no problem for us to feature Park Bom on the show,” an official from the broadcaster was quoted as saying.

“But most of all, Park’s stance is important,” the source added.

In light of the scandal, YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-suk released a letter to the public on Tuesday stating that the drugs in question were not illegally obtained, but officially prescribed by doctors in the U.S.

“Roommate” is the popular reality show that follows the lives of 11 Korean celebrities in a shared house.
