“Crush,” K-pop girl group 2NE1’s second full-length album, was picked by a U.S. music TV channel as one of the 25 best tracks of the year on Monday. 


Fuse TV rounded up the strongest tracks of 2014 so far, and 2NE1 was the only Asian group to make this year’s chart. 

The U.S. media outlet chose the group’s three songs -- “Come Back Home,” “Baby I Miss You” and “Gotta Be You” -- as outstanding tracks worth listening. 

The broadcaster described a slew of 2NE1’s songs on the album “Crush” as “forward-thinking” and “wholly accessible,” pointing to the quartet’s knack for genre-melding covering Indian tabla drums, switchboard-button buzzing, to reggae and trap-hybrid.

The quartet’s latest album, released in February, broke the record for the biggest first-week sales for a K-pop album and the highest-charting K-pop release in America, according to Billboard. 

Pop music legends Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey, as well as various music sensations like Pharrell Williams, Coldplay and the Black Keys also made the list. 

Meanwhile, 2NE1 is scheduled to release the Japanese version of “Crush” on June 25.
