Model rejects blind date with ‘Infinite Challenge’ host Noh Hong-chul

May 25, 2014 - 19:32 By Chung Joo-won
Model Ji Ho-jin turned down a blind-date offer with “Infinite Challenge” show host Noh Hong-chul, which was a hidden-camera prank between the model and another show host Jeong Jun-ha.

In the 380th episode aired Saturday, show emcee Jeong said he knew a girl who might fit Noh’s ideal type of woman -– 174 centimeters or taller, pretty and young -– which turned out to be model Ji Ho-jin.

Ji, 31, has appeared on multiple television shows such as Comedy TV reality show “You’re My Pet: Season 4,” “Jo Jeong-rin’s Dizzy Blind Date” and Psy’s “Gentleman” music video.

As Jeong invited Ji to join his prank to flat-out reject Noh, Ji and her model friends all consented with laughter. They agreed to pull the prank filmed on hidden cameras.

Then another emcee, Jung Hyeong-don, came along shortly after and asked Ji if she would like a blind date with Noh, seemingly unknowing of the en-masse prank. Jung was apparently embarrassed when Ji repeatedly turned down the blind date offer with Noh. As a last resort Jung told Ji that this was an important project to get Noh a girlfriend in a serious tone, but the model did not change her mind, to Jung’s frustration.

When the prank and the hidden cameras were finally unveiled, Jung jokingly growled at the model, “You don’t want to run into me in Gangnam.”

The reality show won a 13.4 percent audience rating on Saturday, beating its rival shows KBS 2tv singing survival competition “Immortal song: Singing the Legend” (7.1 percent) and SBS talent show “Star King” (8.1 percent).
