Quirky girl group Crayon Pop’s agency Chrome Entertainment has announced that it will launch a new girl group named Bob Girls next month.

“Following Crayon Pop, Chrome Entertainment’s second girl group Bob Girls will be making its official debut in June,” the agency said on Wednesday.

As their name signifies, all four members of Bob Girls ― Dahye, Yoojung, Jina and Danbi ― have short, bobbed hair and are said to possess professional vocal and dance skills, according to Chrome.

“When a girl cuts her hair short, it signifies not just a change in looks but a change of heart. Thus a short bob is not merely a hairstyle, but a representation of a woman’s transformation,” said a representative at Chrome Entertainment. “Bob Girls’ identity lies in the expression of their unique colors through various transformations and change.”

The new group’s upcoming title track was written by Eun Jong-tae, who has produced a number of hit singles including female rapper Yoon Mi-rae’s “Touch Love,” SS501’s “Because I’m Stupid” and Girl’s Generation members Sunny and Taeyeon’s “It’s Love.”
