K-pop girl group Miss A’s youngest member, Suzy, expressed her feelings about coming of the age on Monday.
“It feels awkward yet good to finally become an adult. It was a longtime wish of mine to get a driving license and go out for a drive when I turn legal age,” Suzy said through her management company, JYP Entertainment.
Suzy picked a bouquet of flowers as the present she hopes to receive among well-known and typical Coming-of-Age Day presents, such as perfume, a kiss and a bundle of flowers.
“I have no regrets about saying goodbye to my teenage years but time passes fast. So I should try harder to live my life to the fullest,” she added, catching the attention of many Internet users with her mature response to growing up.
South Korea’s legal age has gone down to 19 from 20 since last July. Hence, those who celebrate this year’s Coming-of-Age Day include those who were born in 1994 and 1995.
Other than Suzy, Apink’s Kim Nam-ju, AOA’s Seolhyun, f(x)’s Krystal, Tiny-G’s Dohee, BTOB’s Yook Sung-jae and Jung Il-hoon, VIXX’s Hyuk and Boyfriend’s Minwoo are some of the other Korean celebrities celebrating this year’s Coming-of-Age Day.
