Idol group ZE:A returning this month with new EP

May 1, 2014 - 19:50 By Korea Herald
K-pop idol group ZE:A will be returning to the music scene this month with the release of its still-untitled EP.

While many of ZE:A’s members are involved in side projects including careers in acting as well as participation in the group’s subunit act ZE:A 4U, the upcoming EP is slated to feature all nine members.

A representative of Star Empire, the group’s entertainment agency, released a statement announcing that the idols will be releasing new music sometime at the end of this month. However they have not decided on the specific release date as they are still in the process of selecting which singles to include on the album.

In light of the mood of national mourning following the Sewol ferry disaster about two weeks ago, ZE:A’s agency officials stated that they are approaching the group’s return with caution.

“Because of the situation, we are discussing our plans carefully,” the statement said. “It has been a while since they have been on the local stage so we hope to give it our best effort and for people to be eager for their comeback.”

The members of ZE:A will have some stiff competition as a handful of popular boy bands will also be returning to the public eye this month with new releases, including EXO, Infinite, Beast and 2PM.
