Air Busan introduces 12th passenger jet to fleet

March 31, 2014 - 20:53 By Korea Herald
Air Busan, a low-cost carrier affiliated with Asiana Airlines, said Monday it had incorporated its 12th passenger jet into its fleet to take up a bigger share of the burgeoning budget carrier market.

The Busan-based company said the short-to-medium range A321-200 would begin flight services Tuesday.

The plane, configured to seat 195 passengers, is the same Airbus model that was introduced in November, and is part of the ongoing effort to unify the type of aircraft used by the LCC. At present, Air Busan uses a mix of B737-500s and A320 series planes that include the A321s.

“The latest plane provides more room by reducing the number of seats and even has individual display monitors for passengers,” the company said.

The company said the new plane will improve capacity and services on the 14 domestic and international routes it offers to travelers. (Yonhap)
