Feb. 28, 2014 - 19:18 By Korea Herald
Coming off the release of the group’s seventh studio album and 10th anniversary celebrations, K-pop duo TVXQ dominated this year’s Japan Gold Disk Awards with five wins, including best Asian artist, album of the year, best three albums, most downloaded song and best music video.

The annual awards ceremony is headed by the Recording Industry Association of Japan and recognizes the artists of the year based on their record sales in Japan.

TVXQ is not the only K-pop group crowned this year. The duo’s label mates Girls’ Generation was also awarded in the Best 3 Albums category for their “Love & Peace” and “Girls & Peace” studio albums.

The relatively new idol boy band B.A.P. was crowned as New Artist of the Year as well as joining singer and actor Seo In-guk in the Best 3 New Artists category.
