South Korean pop singer Rain will showcase several new songs in Beijing next month, his management agency said Wednesday.
Rain will appear before some 9,000 fans in China during his single showcase event scheduled for March 28 at the National Stadium in Beijing, Cube Entertainment said.
It will be the first showcase to be staged by the singer in a Chinese-speaking country since the release of his sixth full-length album "Rain Effect." The album's two major tracks -- "30 Sexy" and "La Song" -- have topped local TV networks' K-pop programs.
Tickets for the showcase titled "2014 Rain Effect Show in Beijing" will become available from Feb. 28, the agency said.
Rain is one of the most popular male celebrities in South Korea and a well-known star in other Asian countries, and has appeared in several TV series and films.
The 31-year-old singer, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, was discharged in July last year from 21 months of mandatory military service. "Rain Effect" is his first album in nearly four years. (Yonhap)
