영화 ‘헝거게임’ 시리즈에 출연 중이던 필립 새이모어 호프먼이 약물남용으로 사망한 소식이 전 세계를 충격에 빠뜨리면서 마약으로 인해 일찍 져버린 스타들이 재조명 되고 있다.

1. 코리 몬테이스 (1982.5.11 ~ 2013.7.13)

미국 뮤지컬 드라마 ‘글리’의 남자주인공 핀 허드슨을 열연 했던 캐나다 출신 배우는 2013년 7월 밴쿠버의 한 호텔에서 헤로인과 알코올남용으로 인한 심장마비로 사망했다.

2. 휘트니 휴스턴 (1963.8.9 ~ 2012.2.11)

20세기, 알앤비의 여왕이었던 휘트니 휴스턴은 2007년 이혼으로 막을 내린 결혼생활 이후 약물 중독에 시달렸고 결국 2012년 캘리포니아의 한 호텔에서 사체로 발견되었다. 사인은 코카인, 마리화나, 신경안정제인 자낙스, 근육이완제인 플렉세릴과 알르레기 질환 완화제인 베나드릴 성분들로 인한 심장마비였다.

3. 에이미 와인하우스 (1983.9.14 ~ 2011.7.23)

자신의 약물과 알코올중독을 이겨내는 가사로 많은 사랑을 받았던 영국 가수 에이미 와인하우스는 자신의 아파트에서 알코올 과다섭취로 사망했다. 당시 혈중 알코올 농도는 0.4 퍼센트였으며 우리나라 운전금지 농도는 0.05퍼센트로 8배나 높은 수치였다.

4. 마이클 잭슨 (1958.8.29 ~ 2009.6.25)

팝의 황제 마이클 잭슨은 세계투어를 앞두고 자택에서 주치의의 프로포폴 남용으로 인한 심장마비로 사망했다.

5. 히스 레저 (1979.4.4 ~ 2008.1.22)

영화 ‘다크나이트’ 에서 조커로 상승세를 보이던 호주 배우 히스 레저는 맨하탄 자택에서 마약성 진통제 옥시코돈과 하이드로코돈, 정신안정제인 디아제팜, 항우울제인 테마제팜과 알프래졸람 그리고 알레르기 진정 약인 독실라민으로 인한 약물중독으로 사체로 발견됐다.

The queen of R&B hit bottom after her divorce in 2007 and continued to battle drug abuse until she died shortly before the Grammys when she accidentally drowned in her hotel bathroom after using cocaine and a mix of other drugs.

3. Amy Winehouse, 27, (Sept. 14, 1983 - July 23, 2011)

Winehouse, who gained popularity by singing about her own fight with drugs and alcohol, died of alcohol poisoning with a blood alcohol level of 0.4. The legal driving level of alcohol in Korea is 0.05.

4. Michael Jackson, 50, (Aug. 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009)

The king of pop was found dead 10 days before his world tour due to a heart attack that resulted from the misuse of propofol by his doctor.

5. Heath Ledger 30, (April 4, 1979 - Jan. 22, 2008)

Australian actor Ledger was facing superstardom after starring as the Joker in the movie “Dark Knight” when he died of an accidental prescription drug overdose at his apartment.
