Polaroid has unveiled a new product named “C3,” a golf ball-sized photographic cube, at CES 2014, a global consumer electronics and consumer technology trade show in Las Vegas, the U.S. business magazine Fast Company has reported.
According to the report, the 35 mm ultra-portable camera, shaped like a rainbow-striped hexahedron with rounded corners, looks similar to an iOS app icon.

The wide-angle lens can capture 120 degrees of action and is waterproof up to a depth of 2 meters.
Users can press the button on top to take a 5 megapixel photo or 720 pixel video. Fast Company said C3’s design looks cute, but has limited functionality. C3 does not feature Wi-Fi, which means users need to eject Micro SD media cards to transfer photos and videos to their personal computers.
At CES, C3 attracted attention from visitors for its look but dashed their expectations when it failed to work during a demonstration session.
The suggested retail price of the camera is $99.
Polaroid introduced an instant film camera in 1948 for the first time in history. The company has struggled since digital photography products began appearing in the early 2000s. Currently, the firm is extending its range of products to tablets and TVs.
