On top of being a landmark in the city, Imperial Palace Seoul aims to offer the best environment and services for working professionals from home and abroad. The hotel celebrates its 24th anniversary this year.

Located in the central business and cultural district of Gangnam in southern Seoul, the property, known as one of the best business hotels in Korea, contains 430 guest rooms and suites including the Royal Suite as well as two-storied duplex suites.

Each guest room is equipped with an iPod station and high-speed wireless Internet service, offering a convenient environment for working professionals. The property is also known for its Business Center with up-to-date IT facilities including a projector as well as translation and interpretation services.

The hotel’s elegant banquet halls are also ideal for all kinds of events, from business meetings to forums, as well as theme parties and large-scale international conferences.

One of its venues, the Dubhe Hall, which boasts an antique design and atmosphere, can host about 1,000 people, while the elegant Selena Hall is capable of holding up to 800. Aside from the Dubhe Hall and the Selena Hall, five other venues are available for smaller meetings and events.

The hotel also offers a total of 13 restaurants and bars. Its Chinese and Japanese restaurants offer private rooms where visitors can have exclusive meetings while enjoying their meals. The hotel’s all-day dining spots are ideal for casual social gatherings for professionals. Its poolside barbecue buffet is particularly popular in the summer.

The hotel is also known for its club lounge, with a unique interior design inspired by traditional Korean architecture. The property resembles a hanok ― a traditional tiled-roof house ― and includes traditional Korean furniture and a cozy fireplace.

Visitors will also find the hotel’s fitness center luxurious as well as very useful, as it offers up-to-date gym equipment, a group-exercise zone, rock climbing facilities, a squash court, a swimming pool and a sauna.

The hotel won the top prize in the “Favorite Business Hotel” category of Time magazine readers’ Travel Choice Awards in 2006, selected by Time Magazine’s Asia Edition.
