김정은 북한 국방위원회 제1위원장이 고모부이기도 한 장성택 전 국방위원회 부위원장 사형 집행 후 정신적으로 불안정한 상태가 됐다는 이야기가 나오고 있다.
요미우리(讀賣)신문이 소식통을 인용해 25일 보도한 바에 따르면 김 제1위원장은 장 전 부위원장의 사형이 집행되고 닷새 후인 17일 평양체육관에서 열린 김정일 국방위원장의 중앙추모대회에 참석하기 직전까지 울고 있었다고 한다.
이 소식통은 “김 제1위원장 사형이 그 정도로 빨리 집행될 것을 생각하지 못한 것 같다”며 “자신의 손으로 고모부를 죽였다는 것에 정신이 불안정한 상태가 됐다는 얘기를 들었다”고 말했다.
요미우리는 김 제1위원장이 장 전 부위원장의 숙청에 앞서 측근의 처형을 명령할 때 만취상태였다는 증언도 있다고 덧붙였다.
한편 요무리우리 신문은 최룡해 군 총정치국장 등이 장 전 부위원장의 처형을 김 제1위원장에 건의했다고 보도했다. 보도에 따르면 최 총정치국장과 김원홍 국가안전보위부장 등 간부 3명이 건의해 김 제1위원장이 사형 명령서에 서명했다고 한다.

N. Korean leader was advised by Choe to execute uncle
Choe Ryong-hae, a powerful North Korean military leader believed to be in the inner circle of the country’s leadership, is among those who advised Kim Jong-un to execute Jang Song-thaek, a Japanese newspaper reported Wednesday.
According to Yomiuri Shimbun, three high-ranking officials suggested Kim execute his once-powerful uncle. Kim Won-hong, minister of state security and one other unidentified official are believed to have recommended the execution along with Choe.
The newspaper, citing an anonymous source, reported that Kim grew emotional after the death of his uncle. He reportedly had been crying until moments before he participated in a key ceremony last Tuesday to commemorate former North Korean leaders Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il.
“I heard that his mental status became unstable because of the fact that his uncle had died by his own hands,” the source told the daily, adding that Kim may have not expected the execution to take place so swiftly.
Other reports have suggested that Kim may had been drunk when he ordered the execution of Jang’s confidant, which was a prelude to Jang’s fall from power.
