Park Choong-heum
Samsung Group named Park Choong-heum, executive vice president of Samsung Engineering, to head the company after sacking Park Ki-seok for a recent water-tank blast incident, officials said.
Three workers were killed and more than 12 people were injured when a 1,400-ton water tank burst at a Samsung Fine Chemicals plant last Friday.
The exact cause of the accident is being investigated.
