악동뮤지션이 YG 엔터테인먼트와 전속 계약을 맺었다.

YG 엔터테인먼트는 24일 공식 보도자료를 통해 악동뮤지션과 계약을 확정했다고 밝혔다.

SBS K pop star 시즌 2에서 우승을 차지한 신인 남매 듀오는 공식 보도자료에서 “우리의 음악을 가장 잘 뒷받침해 줄 수 있는 곳이 YG라고 생각했다”며 “좋은 환경에서 더 좋은 음악을 만들고 싶다”고 밝혔다.

최종 계약 확정이 늦어진 점에 대해 YG 측은 악동뮤지션이 미성년자라 몽골의 부모님과 대리 계약을 진행해야 했기 때문이라고 밝혔다.

한편 YG는 지난 K pop star 시즌 1에서 2등을 차지한 이하이를 영입해 7개월 만에 총 3곡을 온, 오프라인 차트 1위에 랭크시키는 등 성공적인 신인 여가수로 성장시킨바 있다. (코리아 헤럴드)

Akdong Musician signs with YG entertainment

Winner of audition show “K Pop Star 2,” Akdong Musician, has signed with YG Entertainment, the agency said on Friday.

The brother-and-sister duo said in an interview that “we thought that YG Entertainment could be the best place for us to develop our musical talent. We want to make much better songs here.”

The agency said that it took a while to finalized the contract as the siblings are minors, meaning their parents in Mongolia had to sign on their behalf.

The entertainment company has already made Lee Hi, the runner-up from season one of the audition program, a successful solo singer.
