National Assembly fails to pass government reorganization bill

March 21, 2013 - 22:29 By 조정은

The National Assembly failed to pass a government reorganization bill on Thursday.

The bill will be submitted to a general session at the National Assembly at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, according to reports.

The parliament was expected to go on a vote to pass the bill as the ruling and main opposition parties reached an agreement over pending broadcasting-related issues at a parliamentary committee meeting on Thursday evening.

If the bill gains the parliamentary approval, it is expected to give a boost to the delayed start of the Park Geun-hye administration, whose full operation comprises 17 ministries and three lower-level ministries.
