A German company has introduced a pen that instantly detects errors in spelling and grammar.

The pen senses and vibrates when the user makes mistakes, with a choice of two modes -- calligraphy and orthography.

The calligraphy mode checks problems with legibility while the latter function focuses on finding incorrect grammar.

The company Lernstift used a built-in sensor that buzzes when it detects words written erroneously.

The inventors of the high-tech pen, married couple Falk and Mandy Wolsky, said they were inspired by their son after watching his early attempts at handwriting and decided to make the product.

“We’re sitting at the table with our son who has to write a text. The first couple of words already contain a few errors. This is the moment my wife Mandy said: There should be a pen that tells you right away when you’ve made a mistake,” Falk wrote on the company’s official website (www.lernstift.com).

The pen is in the prototype stage, according to the company.

틀린 철자 진동으로 알려주는 펜

런스티프트 사는 “영어 공부를 시작하는 어린 학생들을 위해 펜을 개발했다”며 “향후 더 많은 기능을 수행할 수 있도록 연구 중”이라고 밝혔다.
