The veteran pop singer Baek Ji-young has announced that she will be making her comeback with a ballad track titled “Hate It,” which was produced in collaboration with the internationally renowned pianist and composer Yiruma.
Yiruma and composer 2Face teamed up to write and compose the ballad piece. Baek’s agency, WS Entertainment, stated that the song is a crossover between classical and pop music and that it will be an emotional track that showcases her sorrowful voice. “Hate It” is scheduled to be released on Jan. 3.
Earlier in May the pop star released her first dance single in three years, “Good Boy,” through her mini album with the same title. Baek is also a singing coach on this year’s first season of the audition program “The Voice of Korea.”
