Apple’s iPhone 5 is to be released in the Korean market on Dec. 7, three months after its launch in U.S.

Korea’s two largest telecommunications companies, SK Telecom and KT, said on their official Twitter pages that “the official release of iPhone 5 is due on Dec. 7 and pre-sales will begin on Friday 10 p.m.”

Detailed information on how to apply for pre-sale, storage capacity and color choices of the phone has not yet been announced.

Apple released iPhone 5 on Sept. 12 in some countries including the U.S., but the phone has not been available in the Korean market since the smartphone was continuously involved in radio wave certificate problems.

The store price of the iPhone 5 is the same as that of its predecessor iPhone 4S, with the 16GB model at 814,000 won, 32GB, 956,000 won, and 64GB, 1,078,000 won.

애플의 아이폰5가 미국 출시 3개월만인 내달 7일 마침내 한국에 상륙한다.

국내 최대 통신사인 SK텔레콤과 KT는 트위터를 통해 “아이폰5의 공식출시일은 12월 7일이며 30일 금요일 밤 10시부터 예약판매를 시작한다”고 알렸다.

기타 예약판매 신청방법, 용량 및 색상 등에 대한 세부정보는 아직 공개되지 않았다.

애플의 아이폰5는 지난 9월 12일 미국을 포함한 일부 국가에 출시됐다. 그러나 국내에는 계속된 전파인증 문제로 인해 아직까지 출시되지 못했다.

아이폰5의 출고가는 전작 아이폰4S와 동일하다. 아이폰4S 16GB모델은 81만천원, 32GB가 95만6천원, 64GB가 1백7만8천원이었다.
