The CMC Chorale and Orchestra
The Camarata Music Company is looking for members to join it for its Dec. 15 concert of Handel’s “Messiah.”

Current openings include three violins, two violas, cello, double-bass, oboe, bassoon and trumpet. Those wishing to join should have experience of playing in an orchestra.

Rehearsals will begin in late November.

The orchestra is a 30-35 piece chamber orchestra that holds concerts 2-3 times a year.

“Messiah,” an annual event with the CMC chorale as well as solo singers, takes place at Chungdong First Methodist Church in central Seoul, and attracts an audience of about 1,000 people.

Conductor Ryan Goessl said that they would also use more contemporary instruments.

“It’s going to be a very authentic version of ‘Messiah,’” he said.

This year’s soloists are soprano Han Myung-sung, counter-tenor Lee Hee-sang, tenor Ryu Ki-youl and bass Sung Sun-wook.

Musicians who are interested should contact info@camaratamusic.com, or visit the group’s website at: http://www.camaratamusic.com
