American singer Chris Golightly has been booked without physical detention on a charge of attacking a passerby, Seoul police said Thursday.

Golightly allegedly threw a traffic cone at 28-year-old Im, after she refused to give him a cigarette, according to Yongsan Police Station in Seoul. He was drunk at the time.

The 29-year-old singer, who is most well known for making the “top 10” at the famous TV talent show “Superstar K3,” had been embroiled in a sex scandal with female fans in the past.

서울 용산경찰서는 길가던 20대 여성을 도로표시물로 때린 혐의(폭행)로 ‘슈퍼스타K3’ 출신 미국인 가수 크리스 고라이트리(29)를 불구속 입건했다고 11일 밝혔다.

경찰에 따르면 크리스는 지난달 16일 오전 5시께 서울 용산구 이태원 거리에서 임모(28•여)씨에게 담배를 달라는 부탁을 했다가 거부당하자 도로에서 차랑 유도를 위해 쓰이는 ‘안전콘’을 임씨에게 던진 혐의를 받고 있다.

크리스는 폭행 당시 술에 취한 상태였던 것으로 알려졌다.

‘슈퍼스타K3’의 외국인 도전자였던 크리스는 여성팬 성추문과 사기ㆍ협박 혐의로 검찰 조사를 받은 바 있다.
