Korean language teachers from overseas

Aug. 7, 2012 - 20:48 By Shin Hyon-hee
More than 200 Korean language instructors from 52 countries began training on Tuesday to secure more modern, practical and effective teaching skills, the Overseas Koreans Foundation said.
The state-run organization said it is hosting the eight-day program at Kyung Hee University’s Suwon campus in Gyeonggi Province, which also includes sessions for school management, leadership education and Korean culture.
The participants are from Europe, the Americas, the Commonwealth of Independent States and other Asian countries, it added.
The Seoul-based OKF has been holding the project since 1998 to help boost teachers’ capabilities and exchanges.
In July, it provided similar online and on-campus classes for more than 310 instructors around the world.
