July 25, 2012 - 19:50 By Korea Herald
The Il Gwang Welfare Foundation held “Hope and Love Sharing Concert” to support children who are suffering from hunger at the Seoul Grand Hyatt Hotel on July 22. Renowned singers such as Kim Bum-soo, Insooni, Kim Tae-woo, Ivy, 4minute and prominent entertainers including Park Mi-sun and Kim Won-hee participated in the concert.

This year’s concert was the ninth annual concert hosted by Gwang Welfare Foundation, part of the Il Gwang Group. Thirty-five veteran Korean singers and celebrities from “Celebrity Chorus” including Yoon Bok-hee, Lee Moo-song, Noh Sa-yeon, Lee Sung-mi, Lee Kwang-ki and Pyo In-bong as well as the Brave Brothers from KBS2 “Gag Concert” also performed.

The foundation started a food bank service with the proceeds from last year’s charity event. It has now extended that service to run a “food market” providing food and other daily necessities to some 800 families.

Actress Oh Yoon-ah and singer Kim Bum-soo serve as the foundation’s goodwill ambassador.
