A woman lost her purse containing $2,000 after she was struck by a milk shake thrown from a passing car, on June 24 in Palo Alto, California.

According to news reports, she was walking down the street late at night when someone in a passing car full of teenagers threw the vanilla milk shake at her. As she was hit by the milk shake, she responded by throwing her purse at the car’s window in revenge. The purse was passed through the open window of the vehicle, which instantly sped away. The woman said that there was $2,000 in the purse.

She denied throwing her purse at car, but the police said that they could not find any indication of snatching. If the police find the teenagers, they will be charged with battery, possession of stolen property and misappropriation of property, police said.
