SEOUL, Oct. 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's jobless rate stayed unchanged in September from a month earlier but job growth was showing signs of slowing down after recent marked expansions, a report showed Wednesday.
The jobless rate stood at 3 percent last month, unchanged from August, according to the report by Statistics Korea. The rate was down from 3.4 percent tallied in the same month a year earlier.
The report showed that the economy gained 264,000 more jobs last month compared to the previous year. The on-year job creation, however, was far smaller than 490,000 created in August.
