KISSA to run foreign students’ sports fest

Oct. 4, 2011 - 15:47 By
The Korea International Student Support Association is organizing the first Annual International Students Sports Festival in Seoul on Nov. 5.

The tournament at Namyang Ju Gymnasium will involve teams sorted into eight regional groups.

The organizers are recruiting teams for men’s football, women’s 7-a-side football, mixed volleyball, and Korean wrestling.

Regional group teams for running and tug-of-war events will be decided by the athletes from each region who compete in the other events. Cheerleading teams should apply with one of the football teams.

Applications for participation close on Oct. 5. To apply, download the form from ikissa.net and send it to hikissa@gmail.com.

There is a participation fee of 12,000 won for athletes, which covers lunch, drinks and insurance.

In June, KISSA held the first International Students Football Tournament, which drew 550 people from more than 50 countries. More details are available at the website.
