Aug. 30, 2011 - 18:49 By
An exhibition hall dedicated to Korea’s historic and cultural relics has opened in the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, the National Folk Museum of Korea announced Tuesday.

The hall will be managed by the Uzbekistan Museum in Tashkent, while all the exhibits will be provided by the Korean institution through the Korean Embassy of the Central Asian country.

The newly opened hall in the Uzbekistan museum is the 11th Korean exhibition space that the National Folk Museum of Korea launched overseas. Since 2000, the national museum has been collaborating with foreign museums to secure more space for Korean artifacts and relics overseas.

So far, the institution has opened Korean exhibition halls in museums in the U.S., China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and Mexico. There will be another one opening in Denmark later this year, the National Folk Museum staff said.
