A man and a woman both in their 20s were found dead in a car Saturday in an apparent Internet-arranged suicide, police said.
Police said they inhaled toxic fumes inside the vehicle on a hill in Buan, North Jeolla Province.
The 29-year-old man and 26-year-old woman apparently burned coal briquettes and took sleeping pills, according to police.
They got acquainted with each other after joining a suicide website and exchanged mobile phone messages to plan their suicide, police said.
Operators of websites promoting suicide are punishable by up to 10 years in jail.
In June, two young men and two women killed themselves in a car after they met through a suicide website. They left suicide notes in the vehicle full of toxic gas from coal briquettes.
