A British animal welfare expert is to talk at an animal welfare training session in Gwangju.
People taking part in the session will learn about preventing animal abuse from an expert from the U.K.’s Royal Society for the Protection of Animals.
RSPCA Head of External Affairs Paul Littlefair will talk about the animal welfare situation in the U.K. in terms of promoting and evaluating protection measures.
Attendees will also be taught how best to rescue and protect animals by working alongside regional animal protection teams.
Other speakers will include vets from Incheon and Gwangju animal shelters, as well as experts in animal protection policies and laws.
The event is to be hosted by the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and supervised by animal charity Korea Animal Rights Advocates.
Anyone interested in saving Korean animals along with animal protection teams can sign up for the session to be held on Saturday Sept. 3. Registration is open from Aug. 1-31.
