Get cracking with celadon at museum

June 14, 2011 - 18:53 By Paul Kerry
The Itaewon Global Village Center will organize a ceramic-making class at the National Museum of Korea on Friday.

Participants will make celadon, a distinctive jade-green pottery that Korea is famous for.

After making the pottery, anyone who is interested can also enjoy a brief English guided tour introducing highlights of the museum from 12 p.m. to 12:40 p.m.

The pottery made needs to be fired afterwards. Potters will be able to pick up their creations at the Itaewon Global Village Center at a later date.

The class costs 5,000 won and runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

Please come to the center in person to register and pay the fee.
