The largest movie screen in the world opened at the Yeongdeungpo CGV multiplex in western Seoul yesterday.
CJ CGV said the 407.94 square-meter screen which measures 31.38 meters in length and 13 meters in width is currently in consideration for the Guinness Book of World Records as the world`s largest cinema screen.
It marks the 70th branch for Korea`s largest multiplex cinema operator, which will be directly connected to Subway Line No. 1 on Yeongdeungpo Station.
The new multiplex has 12 screens and is also home to a concert hall titled "CGV Art Hall" and a premium theater "Gold Class."
