Former Democratic United Party floor leader Rep. Park Jie-won will donate the limousine of former President Kim Dae-jung to a memorial hall to be built to honor his Nobel Peace Prize.
The limousine was a 2008 model Equus 450, specially designed to take account of his chronic limp.
The Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize memorial hall will be opened on Samhakdo Island in Mokpo, South Jeolla Province, on June 15.
“When I went to Mokpo last Friday, many citizens wanted to see Kim’s limousine,” Park said in a news release Sunday.
The limousine was recently given by Kim’s wife Lee Hee-ho to the three-term lawmaker representing Mokpo.
