Baby dies in hot car in Indiana

July 9, 2012 - 10:58 By 박한나

Police said an Indiana man was arrested after his young daughter died while locked in the family car amid a sweltering heat wave.

Joshua Stryzanski was booked by Greenfield police Saturday night on a charge of neglect of a dependant resulting in death after his 3-month-old daughter was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The Indianapolis Star said another parent in Fishers was arrested after her 16-month-old daughter was found in a similar situation at a shopping center. Police broke out a window to get the child out, but she suffered a seizure en route to a hospital and was admitted in critical condition.

The child's mother had been shopping for about an hour while the temperature inside the vehicle topped 120 degrees, police told the newspaper. (UPI)
