Kim Jang-hoon
Pop singer Kim Jang-hoon, famous for activities and donations to promote Korea, is expanding his U.S. concert tour beyond the country.
According to his agency Concert World on Tuesday, 5,000-seat concerts have been scheduled for Oct. 11 and 12 in Toronto, Canada.
Kim also has been in contact with concert agencies and the Korean communities in Chile, Italy and Britain.
He held concerts in Los Angeles, Seattle and New York in May, then returned to Korea to direct the DMZ World Peace Concert, which was held on a special outdoor stage at Imjingak in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, on Aug. 3.
He is currently resting in a hospital because of overwork, and will resume his activities, including volunteer work, before going back to the U.S. late this month.
“If I am given a chance, I would like to go everywhere around the world doing something to promote Korea, not just performing concerts,” he said, “Of course, I will keep donating sales proceeds.”
