Summer bargains at Lotte Hotel Busan


Lotte Hotel Busan is offering a series of bargain summer promotions from July 1-Aug. 31.

The “Summer” package, which is limited to 10 rooms per day, allows visitors to stay in the deluxe room for the affordable price of 160,000 won a night. The “Cool” package, priced at 180,000 won, includes one night in the deluxe room plus an ice tumbler and one glass of ice coffee. The “Cool Beach” package, priced at 220,000 won, includes one night in a deluxe room, breakfast buffet for two and two glasses of tropical cocktails.

For families or groups of friends, the hotel also offers a “Cool Shower” package, which includes one night in a deluxe family room, breakfast buffet for three and a cosmetics travel kit by brand Primera. It is priced at 250,000 won. For inquiries, call (051) 810-1100.

Spicy Sichuan cuisine at Conrad Seoul


Conrad Seoul’s buffet restaurant Zest is presenting the “Sichuan Cuisine Festival,” featuring acclaimed native chefs from the Hilton Hotel Chongqing. The chefs will be showcasing the authentic flavors of Sichuan cuisine for 10 days, from July 10-19.

The Sichuan region is located in inland China and known for its spicy cuisine that incorporates a diverse array of spices including garlic, green onion and chili. Sichuan locals view spicy food as a way of invigorating the appetite and overcoming the region’s hot, humid valley weather.

Zest is located on the second floor of Conrad Seoul. The Sichuan buffet is priced at 70,000 won and 80,000 won for weekday lunch and dinner, and 85,000 won and 90,000 won for weekend lunch and dinner, respectively. For inquiries, call (02) 6137-7100.

Hot and cold noodlesat Millennium Seoul Hilton


Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Chinese restaurant Taipan, and the hotel’s flagship buffet and all-day-dining restaurant Cafe 395, will feature new summer menus until the end of July.

Taipan will serve a selection of cold and hot noodles this summer, including Chinese cold noodles (22,000 won), Chinese cold noodles with seafood (32,000 won) and spicy cold noodles with shredded abalone and chicken (38,000 won). Those seeking warmer dishes can also enjoy noodles in hot and sour soup (29,000 won). Also available is the seven-course summer set menu, which includes sauteed abalone with whole garlic, stir-fried prawns and scallops in hot sauce, fried sea eel in gong bao sauce and more, for 98,000 won per person.

Cafe 395 is expanding its buffet to include such seasonal summer dishes as cold arrowroot noodles in icy beef broth, cold buckwheat noodles, Sichuan-style spicy beef and fried noodles, and more.

Bikini pool party at Sheraton Grande Walkerhill 


Sheraton Grande Walkerhill is offering a series of pool parties this summer at Riverpark, a luxury outdoor swimming pool with a view of the Hangang River and Achasan Mountain.

A series of five parties will be hosted, on July 11 and 24, and August 1, 14, and 22, from 7 p.m. to midnight. Each party will see a different theme and atmosphere.

DJ We Are Loud, a renowned artist whose hits include “Booya,” and producer Mitch Crown will kick off the grand opening of the party series with live performances on July 11. The July 24 party will feature global fashion channel Fashion TV and an all-white dress code. Performing on Aug. 1 will be DJs from Pacha Ibiza Spain, a celebrated hotspot considered one of the world’s top three clubs. England’s premier entertainment service and nightclub Ministry of Sound will be visiting on Aug. 14 and Hed Kandi, another U.K.-based promoter, will run the party on Aug. 22.
