Police said Tuesday a detention warrant has been issued for Kim Jun-ki, former chairman of South Korean conglomerate DB Group, over sexual assault charges.
Kim, who has been staying overseas citing the need for medical treatment, will immediately be taken into police custody at the airport, the police said, adding that they may consider requesting help from US law enforcement for the apprehension.
The 73-year-old tycoon is accused of making inappropriate physical contact with his personal assistant between February and July of this year. The secretary has filed a complaint with police seeking a formal investigation against him.
