South Korea informed North Korea Wednesday of some details of its preparations for greeting North Korean athletes to join the Incheon Asian Games, the unification ministry said.
In a letter to Pyongyang, the organizing committee for the games promised security for the North’s delegation to cross the border by air over the Yellow Sea, the ministry said.
It came in response to the North’s letter about its plan to transport its delegation between Pyongyang and Incheon with a total of six flights from Sept. 11-Oct. 5.
The North plans to dispatch a 273-member group of athletes, coaches, referees and other officials to the Games. (Yonhap)
