LG Electronics Inc.’s 2012 Cinema 3-D smart TVs have received excellent reviews from European information technology media outlets, industry sources said Tuesday.
Sources said that Britain-based CNET media named the South Korean consumer giant’s 47-inch LM960V model its “Editor’s Choice” for its precise contrast, viewer-friendly recreation of vivid colors and smart functionality as well as three-dimensional picture quality.
It added that the very thin bezel enhances the overall refinement of the TV.
Other British media outlets such as Stuff and What Hi-Fi said the set had a high value for price, superior user interface and good ability to create natural colors.
Besides favorable reviews from Britain, German IT reviewer Heimkino magazine said LG’s 55-inch 3-D model was a “test winner.”
LG said that it plans to use the favorable publicity to solidify its image as a manufacturer of premium 3-D sets in Europe and push for more sales in the second half.
