BMW unveils 3 Series Gran Turismo

June 9, 2013 - 20:34 By Korea Herald
BMW Korea said Friday that the 3 Series Gran Turismo would be sold in Korea starting July 1 following its Asian premiere at Seoul Motor Show in March.

The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is a coupe-like four-door hatchback that is a split between a sedan and a wagon.

Two models ― the new 320d Gran Turismo and the new 320d Gran Turismo Luxury ― are scheduled to hit the market next month.

The high-riding sedans, similar in stance and style to the 5 Series Gran Turismo, feature a higher seating position than a normal 3 Series, the carmaker said.

One of the distinctive features is the active rear spoiler, the first of its kind adopted by BMW, which optimizes the air flow at the rear and ensures road holding at high speeds.

The cars will be powered by a twin-turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that will produce 184 horsepower. Its fuel economy is estimated to be 16.2 kilometers per liter.

Depending on options, the price ranges from 54.3 million won to 60.5 million won ($48,500-$54,000).
