K-pop sensation Psy finally unveiled his new song “Gentleman” in 119 countries on Thursday night, at midnight in their respective local times.
New Zealand was the first country to listen to the song due to the time difference, three hours before the song was released in Korea.
The fast-tempo single, a follow-up to the global megahit “Gangnam Style,” was released via local Korean music sites and iTunes at midnight.
According to wire news reports, the techno beat song carried repeated phrases “I am a mother father gentleman” and “I am a party mafia.”
The 35-year-old rapper will perform the new song live at his solo concert “Happening” at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Saturday in front of 50,000 fans and then head to the United States with no further domestic activities.
The concert will be broadcast live on cable channel Mnet and through live streaming on YouTube and Naver.
