South Korean Park In-bee, the world's No. 1-ranked female golfer, captured her third LPGA Tour win of the year in Taiwan on Sunday.

Park claimed the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship with a four-round total of 22-under 266, two strokes better than Stacy Lewis. Park cashed in US$300,000 in the winner's check.

Park shot a one-under 71 on Sunday at Miramar Golf Country Club in Taipei, while Lewis put together a final round of three-under 69, not enough to overtake the South Korean.

Park supplanted Lewis as the No. 1 female golfer last week.

Lewis had been at the top for the previous 21 weeks.

Park held a four-shot lead over Lewis to begin the final round.

The two played the final round in the same group, and both players birdied the first two holes.

Lewis cut the deficit to three with another birdie on the third hole. She traded a bogey on the fifth with her fourth birdie of the day on the seventh, but still remained three shots back of Park.

Park stumbled with back-to-back bogeys on the eighth and ninth, allowing Lewis to get to within a stroke.

The two parred the first four holes on the back nine and Lewis blinked first with a bogey on the 13th. She tried to stay in the hunt with a birdie on the 16th but Park ended a string of seven consecutive pars with a birdie on the 17th, restoring her two-stroke advantage.

Both had pars on the 18th as Park celebrated her third win of the year.

Lydia Ko, the world No. 3, finished alone in third at 17-under.

Three more South Koreans finished in the top 10. Amy Yang shot 14-under for fifth place. Ryu So-yeon carded a 12-under to tie for seventh, and Ji Eun-hee tied three others in ninth place at 11-under.

Park now has 12 wins in her LPGA career, nine of which have come since the start of the 2013 season.

Including Park, six South Koreans have won on the LPGA Tour in 2014. (Yonhap)
