Nov. 23, 2015 - 11:25 By KH디지털2

South Korean Park In-bee reserved her ticket to the LPGA Hall of Fame on Sunday after winning this season's Vare Trophy awarded to the player with the lowest scoring average.

The world No. 2 hit a final round 3-under 69, earning the final point out of the 27 needed to enter the Hall of Fame.

She will become formally eligible after completing her 10th year on the Tour in 2016. If inducted, Park will be the second South Korean ever to receive the honor after Park Se-ri in 2007.

Meanwhile, South Korean-born New Zealander Lydia Ko held off Park In-bee for LPGA Tour Player of the Year and season points honors. The world no. 1 carded a par 72 to finish 11-under 277 to finish seventh.

Ko is the fourth player ever to become the Player of the Year only a year after achieving Rookie of the Year. Her most recent predecessor is Sweden's Annika Sorenstam in 1995.

Ko also claimed US$1 million for winning the Race to the CME Globe, the tour's points race lasting this season. (Yonhap)
