Singer Jisoo of group Tahiti uploaded a screenshot Monday showing what she claims is a message from a “sponsorship broker” on Instagram. She added, “This kind of messages upsets me. You keep messaging me and commenting on every photo I upload, which you need to stop immediately.”

Sponsorship broker in Korea refers to a person brokering sugar-daddy deals.
The broker, who claims to belong to a membership-only networking society, asked Jisoo to meet a member who was a big fan, adding she would be paid 2-3 million won ($1,698-$2,487) per meeting if she accepted the offer.
When Jisoo ignored the message, the broker continued to send messages promising “confidentiality.” Some of the messages read:“Pay can be arranged to match your wish,” “Will 4 million won do?”
Dream Star Entertainment, Tahiti’s agency, announced that it would “report the matter to the Police Cyber Crime Investigation Team and will take legal action.”
Meanwhile, Jisoo’s father is chief of the crime department at Gangneung police station in Gangwon Province.
