South Korean singer Jun Jin has been added to the star-studded line-up of this year's KCON Japan, his publicist said Friday.
Jun Jin, who is one-sixth of the boy band Shinhwa, will perform at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, just outside of Tokyo, at the Japanese version of the world's largest K-pop festival, HNS HQ said.
Started in Los Angeles in 2012, the annual event hosted by CJ E&M branched out to Japan, its first Asian destination, last year.
Jun Jin will join 2PM, Block B, TWICE, BOYFRIEND and Day 6 for the "M COUNTDOWN" concert on April 10, which is the second and last day of the event.
The line-up for April 9 consists of AOA, Infinite's Kim Sung-kyu, Lovelyz, Monsta X, N.Flying, Nicole and Winner. Han Seung-yeon, a former member of the girl group KARA, and Yunhak of the boy band Supernova will be the hosts on both days.
Prior to KCON Japan, Jun Jin is scheduled to meet local fans on April 3 at The Shinagawa Intercity Hall in Tokyo.
He most recently released an album, "#REAL#," in September, which was his first solo album in seven years.
The singer has since completed a tour of China and Taiwan, and held a sold-out concert in Seoul in February. (Yonhap)
