I.O.I, which debuted in May, was created through Mnet’s reality K-pop group survival show “Produce 101.”
Formed by Starship Entertainment and China’s Yeuhua Entertainment, Cosmic Girls is a Korean-Chinese group that made its official debut in February with its first mini album “Would You Like?”
The group also stars on Mnet’s “Would You Like Girls: My Cosmic Diary,” a reality show featuring the offscreen lives of Cosmic Girls’ members.
Yu will fulfill I.O.I’s official schedule as originally planned, according to her entertainment agency.
